The 2011 B&B Conferences
Year In Review
This year saw Marie and I spoke at 17 conferences coast to coast and abroad on behalf of the B&B lodging industry. From the Napili Coast in Hawaii to serveral stops in the midwest and ending up in New York and Florida. We were delighted to have the opportunity to meet with innkeepers both experienced and new to the industry. This is the part of our work we love the most!
Pamela enjoyed two stops out West in the Fall Oklahoma and Montana -while in Montana she presented Marketing for all stakeholders to both the lodging folks and in an afternoon session to all stakeholders in a roundtable format-very informative the proven Destination Marketing strategies - that resulted from these sessions are here : read article.
Fall Wound up with Marie and Thomas Brown in Colorado at the Colorado Innkepers where Marie presented on Marketing Essentials and How to Maximize Repeat Guests and onto our Bed and Breakfast Conference for Fun and Profit held at the Javitts Center in New York in partnership with the IHM&RS and in conjunction with the American Hotle and Lodging Association -as usual innkppers enjoyed some excellent presentations including a Master Session given by Peggy Mosley of the Groveland Hotel and by veteran B&B Real Estate guru Ed Xanders of Interim Hospitality Consultant. Pamela met with Joseph A. McInerney president of AH&LA about the face of lodging going into 2012.
Marie and Thomas Brown closed out the conference season with a 3 day Internet travel intensive at PhoCus Wright -the conference for online travel. We will be applying this information to the benefit of our member inns in coming months!
Upward and onward for 2012-first conference upcoming one of Pamela's favorites CABBI in Sacramento Ca in January.
